Accessibility Statement
Acrylate Allergy is committed to making the Acrylate Scanner accessible to everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We continually improve the usability of this website and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Scope
This statement covers the Acrylate Scanner web application (this website), including its installable home-screen (PWA) version. It does not cover the separate Acrylate Allergy website.
Conformance status
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the harmonized European standard EN 301 549 require web content to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard; the known limitations are listed below.
Measures we take
We take the following measures to make the Acrylate Scanner accessible:
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, labeled form fields, and a logical heading structure on every page.
- Full keyboard support: all interactive elements can be reached and operated without a mouse, with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link.
- Color is never the only carrier of meaning, and text colors meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements in both light and dark themes.
- Scan results and other dynamic updates are announced to screen readers.
- Animations respect your system's reduced-motion preference.
- The layout supports zoom up to 400% and large text sizes without loss of content or functionality.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some limitations remain. Currently known issues:
- Ingredient text extracted from your photos by AI may contain recognition errors. The extracted text is always shown on screen so you can review and correct it before relying on a scan result.
Compatibility
This website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack. It also works when installed to your home screen as an app.
Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, or need any part of it in another format, please email us at contactus@acrylateallergy.com. We aim to respond within 3 to 5 business days.
Enforcement
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) applies to this service. If you believe this website does not comply with accessibility requirements and you are not satisfied with our response to your feedback, you can contact the market surveillance authority responsible for accessibility in your EU member state.
